A freedom of information request has revealed that a person has waited 2,099 days on a dental waitlist.
That equates to five years, nine months and four days.
The FoI confirmed that the average number of days waiting for a dentist on the island is one year and six months for adults.
Meanwhile, the longest a child has been placed on the dental waitlist is 1,259 days (three years, five months and two weeks).
As of June 30, the average wait time for a child to get off the dental wait list is one year and five months.
