Cancer charities are to stage a protest outside of Tynwald ahead of Tuesday’s sitting.
Breast Cancer Now, Manx Breast Cancer Support and Isle of Man Breast Care will hold the protest on Tuesday morning from 8:20am.
The charities say they want written guarantees from the government that it will not implement any cuts to cancer screening services.
Angie Aire from BCN said: “These changes must not happen or we as an island will be facing late diagnosis, longer & more complex treatments and likely more lives lost.”
Petitioning
Alongside the protest, Manx Breast Cancer Support’s petition against any cuts is continuing to grow and has now reached over 4,300 signatures.
It said: “If you would like to join us on the morning to offer your support we’d love to see you.”
The charities are also looking for a coffee van to fuel their efforts, if you can help you can contact Manx Breast Cancer Support Group.
Isle of Man Breast Care echoed these calls and asked people to sign the petition and show their support on Tuesday by wearing pink.
