The Council of Ministers will be taking to the road again this year to listen to you, yes you! The dear members of the public.
COMIN will be opening up the floor of several community venues to hear the questions and queries the general public has for them.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan MHK told Manx.News that the roadshows will be a chance to “influence government thinking and government policy direction”.
He said: “There were quite a number of issues that were raised last year, from taxation to transport, to airports to the mental health service to the state of the health service to the costs of public service delivery in general.
Govt’s Thinking
Mr Cannan added: “I’ll be able to update people in terms of some of those themes, and what government have been doing the past twelve months.”
The Chief Minister hopes that he and his ministers come away from the roadshows recognising the areas that the public feel are in need of “improvement”.
He thinks he will be able to demonstrate from some of the key points that were raised last year how government has made progress in some of those areas.
Roadshows
The road shows will be held across several venues on the island from the end of June.
Doors open at 5.15pm, events start at 5.30pm and finish at 8pm. Each venue is accessible with on-site car parking.

- Wednesday, July 2, Castle Rushen High School, Castletown
- Thursday, July 3, Queen Elizabeth II High School, Peel
