Air Ambulance Made 10 Life Saving Transfers in April

The Isle of Man Air Ambulance made thirty-seven patient transfers last month in it’s own fixed wing aircraft.

Of the thirty-seven, ten of the trips were for life or limb saving transfers.

Twenty-seven of the patients needed care that was not available on the Isle of Man.

Ten of the patients were residents returning to the island but were unsuitable to travel without the Air Ambulance’s support.

Just over 20 of the transfers were classed as ‘urgent’ but not planned trips.
