Andreas Meat Co will be supplying every primary school on the island with its cooked meats and sausages from this September.
An announcement was made this morning that the proportion of Manx produce being used in primary schools will increase from 6.2% to just below 25%.
The meat company said: “We are proud to be apart of this initiative with other Manx suppliers.
“Supporting our islands schools and providing tasty, nutritious food for the next generation means a lot to us- its the heart of what we do.
“We were very lucky to sample some of the meals last week at the IOM primary schools department and can honestly say that the school children will be blown away as the food is delicious.”
