Government House has confirmed that applications are now open for the 2027 King’s Awards for Enterprise.
The awards are one of the most respected honours available to businesses across the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Five categories are available this year:
- International Trade,
- Innovation,
- Sustainability,
- Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility,
- Young Founder
The introduction of the Young Founder category reflects a commitment to recognising the achievements of emerging entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30.
The Sustainability category has also been refreshed to reflect more holistic approaches to responsible business.
King’s Awards
Award recipients are invited to a Royal reception, receive an official presentation at their company, and can use the King’s Awards emblem for five years.
His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor said: “The King’s Awards for Enterprise continue to shine a light on the remarkable talent, ambition and innovation within our business community.
“I would strongly encourage eligible Isle of Man businesses to consider applying this year, particularly with the introduction of new categories that recognise emerging entrepreneurs and evolving approaches to sustainability. These Awards provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate success and to showcase the island’s enterprise on a wider stage.”
The Department for Enterprise and the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce echoed the call, noting the island’s strong track record in innovation and growth.
Applications close on September 8.
