Croatian road racer Loris Majcan will return to the TT for his third year, concentrating solely on the Supersport class as he targets further progress around the Mountain Course.
The 30-year-old from Zagreb will again line up for the Bihui Yamaha Racing Team in both Monster Energy Supersport races, switching to the new-generation Yamaha YZF-R9 after previously campaigning the R6.
Budget constraints have forced Majcan to postpone planned entries in the Carole Nash Sportbike races until 2027, and he will also sit out the 1000cc classes to focus entirely on development in the middleweight category.
Since his impressive debut in 2024, Majcan has earned the Vernon Cooper Newcomer’s Trophy, the RST Star of Tomorrow award, and last year’s Monster Energy People’s Challenger Trophy.
His best Supersport lap currently stands at 119.571mph.
Loris said: “I’m really pleased to be returning to the TT for a third year. Each visit has been about learning and improving, and I feel like I’ve built a strong foundation over the last two years.
“For 2026 I am fully focused on Supersport. I have a really fast bike, and I’m hoping for a big step forward in lap time and speed. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, I didn’t manage to get the R7 race ready for the Sportbike class but I am focused on preparing to come back on that in 2027.”
Loris added: “I’ve also got my personal and favourite ‘34’ as my start number, which means a lot to me, so it feels like a special year.”
