Manx BirdLife has been awarded £28,618 from the Dormant Asset Fund, managed by Manx Lottery Trust, to recruit a new warden.
The role will support the charity’s expanding conservation and education work across the island, helping to deliver outdoor activities, habitat management, wildlife monitoring and volunteer engagement.
The warden will also assist with office administration and data management, including work on the Island’s National Ornithological Database.

“The addition of a new Warden means we can deliver more outdoor education, enhance habitat management, grow our volunteer base and strengthen the national bird data we collect and manage. It’s a real boost to our mission of working with people for nature and we’re incredibly grateful.”

The Dormant Asset Fund is administered by Manx Lottery Trust on behalf of the Isle of Man Treasury, allocating money from dormant bank and building society accounts to community projects.
