Hospice Isle of Man has launched a Subsidised Will Scheme to help supporters who have already chosen to leave a legacy gift put their wishes formally in place.
The scheme offers a professionally prepared Simple Will for a fixed £200 + VAT, delivered through local legal firms.
It’s aimed at people who have already committed to including Hospice in their Will and now want to get the paperwork done in a straightforward way.
Will Writing
Hospice CEO Fiona Hatton said: “We know many people feel strongly about supporting Hospice in the future, and this scheme is designed for those who have already made that generous decision and now want to take the practical step of putting their Will in place.
“Writing a Will is one of the most important things anyone can do for their loved ones, and we want to make that process as simple and accessible as possible for those who have chosen to include Hospice in their long-term plans.”
Legacy gifts currently fund around 20% of Hospice’s annual care costs, supporting services from the inpatient unit to Rebecca House and community‑based care.
Even small gifts, such as 1% of an estate, can help fund several days of specialist support.
Participants will also be invited to join the Legacy Pledge Association, offering updates, event invitations and insight into the impact of future legacy support.
