A campsite in the north of the Island have announced that Ballaugh Camping is due to open on Thursday, July 4.

The campsite will remain open until the end of the camping season (which will include Manx Grand Prix).

The team from Ballaugh Camping are in the process of finalising all the details and the new website and booking system is due to go live very soon.

For those of you that may wish to take a more permanent booking over the summer, it will be offering a summer holiday special, with details to follow.

The business said: ‘The campsite will be offering the same great facilities it always has done to a high standard, so why not come along and enjoy the local countryside and meet up with friends and family for a relaxing break.’

Camping

In January, Ballamoar Farms Limited, as the landowners of Ballamoar Campsite, announced that the facility will be remaining and running under new management, Ballaugh Camping.

A statement issued by Ballamoar Farms Limited said:

“We understand that this campsite remains not only am important local facility to Ballaugh but also to the Island and we are delighted to be able to keep this as a local family run business.

We wish to thank Ballamoar Campsite for all their hard work during their tenancy but are excited to be able to welcome new and old faces to Ballaugh come 2025.

We appreciate that the decision of closing the campsite in June 2024 has affected a number of GP visitors etc and we are unfortunately unable to have a choice in this decision, however, we want all visitors to be rest assured that the 2025 season will go ahead and that all details of future bookings will be issued in due course.”
