Isle of Man Transport is warning people not to fall for a scam offering cheap bus tickets.
The scam claims to be offering unlimited bus travel for just £2 for three months.
Posted by a page called Isle of Man public transport smart card, the post comes complete with fake comments from “customers” praising the card’s value and speedy deliver.
It says: “Isle of Man Transport invites you to join an initiative to enhance island mobility and promote public transport. Get your hands on one of 500 smart cards, offering 3 months of unlimited travel across Isle of Man for only £2.”
Isle of Man Transport however has nothing to do with these posts and warned people not to fall for it.
It said: “Thank you to our alert and vigilant customers who spotted this scam page earlier this morning. Action has been taken to remove it and it has been reported accordingly.”
