From next week, Blue Point Road in Andreas will be closed for just over three weeks to allow for resurfacing works.
Island Drainage & Groundwork Ltd is to resurface the road on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure.
A temporary road closure has been granted in order to facilitate these works.
The closure order permits the road to be closed from Monday (April 21) until no later than May 15.
Access During Closure
The DoI says that limited public access may be possible, especially after working hours, and at weekends.
However, this will depend on the activities being undertaken at any particular time.
Members of the public seeking access to the beach during working hours are advised to consider using nearby alternative access points such as Ballaghennie Road or Ballakinnag Road.
Similar works are planned for Ballkinnag Road, which are currently scheduled for later in May.
