Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation’s next round of free screenings can be booked from 4pm this afternoon.
The screenings will be held at September 28 and 29 at Noble’s Hospital.
Organised in association with Cardiac Risk in the Young, the screenings are available to everyone aged 14 to 35 and look for any previously undetected or diagnosed heart defect.
Since launching the charity has helped identify issues with islanders that could potentially have remained undetected and proved fatal.
The charity was created in memory of Craig Lunt who died in 2005 from a condition called Long QT syndrome.
The syndrome is a disorder of the electrical system of the heart and one of a range of conditions that cause unexplained sudden death in a young person.
