The DoI says it has recruited nine new bus drivers and has 10 more now than it did at the same point last year.
The figures were provided by the Minister for Infrastructure, Dr Michelle Haywood, in response to a written Tynwald question from Jason Moorhouse.
The data shows the number of drivers fell by 19 between August 2023 and August 2024, but has since increased by 10 over the past year.
She revealed figures for the total number of full-time employees as of August 1 in each of the requested calendar years: 2023 – 104, 2024 – 85, 2025 – 95.
Dr Haywood added: “The Department has also recently appointed nine new drivers; the recruitment process is being finalised which will confirm the start date for these new drivers.”
