A refreshed package of business support schemes has launched, widening eligibility and increasing funding to help local firms manage rising costs and invest in growth.
The Department for Enterprise says the updates are aimed at boosting efficiency, productivity and resilience across the domestic economy.
The schemes cover start‑ups, growing businesses, town centre projects and improvement work.
Key changes include:
- Business Consultancy Scheme: higher support levels, broader project types and wider eligibility.
- Town and Village Regeneration Scheme: expanded help for new and existing premises, with more flexibility and repeat‑application options.
- Domestic Event Fund / Local Economy Fund: a streamlined approach to supporting community events and larger economic initiatives.
- Business Emissions Saving Scheme: increased backing for energy audits and efficiency improvements.
- Financial Assistance Scheme: broader support for projects that cut operating costs, improve productivity and protect jobs.
Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston MHK said the enhancements ensure support “continues to meet the needs of local businesses at a time when operating costs are increasing”.
