This weekend will be a very busy one for running enthusiasts with the second round of the winter hill league and Western AC’s trail run.
Tomorrow (November 9) afternoon sees the second of the three-round Winter Hill League organised by Manx Fell Runners, with this one being held at Cringle Reservoir and Plantation which has been a popular venue over the years.
Last year there was a huge turnout of 140 runners at Cringle, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see similar again on Saturday.
On Sunday (November 10) morning the rearranged opening round of the Western AC Trail Run series takes place, with the start and finish of all the races from 1km to 10km being near the fish yards.
Fingers are crossed for much better weather than the stormy conditions which caused the postponement three weeks ago.
