The Calf of Man Bird Observatory have announced that the Calf team are back!
You will see some familiar faces again this year:
Ornithological Warden – Aron Sapsford.
Congratulations to Aron, who is now the longest serving Calf Warden. This is his 11th year!
Assistant Ornithological Warden – Eleanor Grover.
Eleanor is returning for her 3rd season.
Estate Warden – Chloe Hurst.
Returning for her 2nd season after her first in 2022.
Assistant Estate Warden – Mike Haigh.
This is his 7th year working on the Calf.
Calf of Man Bird Observatory
Three out of the four of the team have arrived on the Isle of Man.
The Calf of Man Bird Observatory have been keeping themselves busy catching up on paperwork, volunteering with the Manx Wildlife Trust and Manx National Heritage and completing rope and radio training with the Castletown Coastguard Rescue Team.
Due to the weather, they are yet to get to the Calf.
For now, they are enjoying some time on the Isle of Man.
