Juniper bush is playing an important part in our ‘Action for Wildlife’

This juniper bush is playing an important part in the Manx Wildlife Trust’s ‘Action for Wildlife’ program that aims to reverse the loss of our mostly critically endangered wildlife.

According to the Manx Wildlife Trust, “Juniper’s important link with conservation has long been recognised and that is why our Woodland Conservation Officer, Andree Dubbeldam has recently planted 100 of them along the mountain mile!”.

Juniper is the Isle of Man’s only truly native conifer and the last truly native Isle of Man juniper died in 1947.

Find out more about what Andree has been up to, and the importance of this stunning plant on his latest team blog: mwt.im/blog/andree-dubbeldam/mountain-mile-difference
