A Victorian fayre will today celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Manx Electric Railway reaching Ramsey.
The railway officially reached the town on July 29 1899, five years after the line reached Laxey.
To celebrate, there will be a Victorian fayre with a range of stalls and events in the town.
Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer will ride a special tram from Laxey to open the fayre, which will be on from 10:30am to 4pm.
The fayre will see performances from Onchan Silver Band, a painting unveiled by artist Michael Starkey, a fancy dress competition and a competition to find the friendliest family dog.
