Today will see members of the public travel on a train on Ramsey Pier for the first time in a generation.
The Queens Pier Restoration Trust has been granted an operating certificate to run the train for passenger rides.
It said: :We look forward to welcoming you onto the pier and enjoying the train experience, whether it’s getting back onboard after it’s 43 years gap, or riding it for the first time.
Safety
“Please be aware that there will be occasions when we are unable to operate, if there are a large number of visitors on the pier, or entertainment taking place etc. At all times, our primary concern is your safety.”
The running of the train is part of this year’s Heritage Railway Festival.
The pier is open today from 10:30am to 5pm, found out more or make donations to the restoration work here.
