Manx event riders enjoyed a busy weekend at Kelsall Hill International Horse Trials, delivering a series of promising results across the Novice, BE100 and BE90 sections.
In the Novice, Yasmin Ingham produced two strong performances. Riding Joli Coeur Menjoulet, she scored 28.8 in the dressage, rolled one pole in the show jumping and jumped clear across country to finish 9th.
On her new ride Club Class, Ingham impressed with a 27.3 dressage and a double clear, securing an excellent 3rd place.
Kelsall Hill
In the BE100, Jess Collister and Roosevelt delivered a 33 dressage and had one pole showjumping, before an unfortunate 20 penalties across country left them 20th.
Freya Cullen and RMS Thunderbantos matched the 33 dressage mark, added two poles and also picked up 20 penalties on the cross country to finish 22nd.
Rebecca Sowerby and Professor Higgins scored 32 in the dressage, had three poles showjumping and incurred 20 penalties across country to finish 23rd.
There was a strong Manx showing in the BE90. Sue Kirkpatrick and Tradhearg Cool Joules produced a 31.3 dressage and a double clear to finish 4th.
Bryn Thompson and Fine Resolve scored 34.8, had one pole and jumped clear across country to take 11th.
Rebecca Le Blond and Nestor posted 33.5, one pole and a clear to finish 18th, while her second ride Next Nellie TD scored 31.3 with one pole and 20 penalties across country to place 21st.
Jade Atherton and Fourfields Priscilla also completed the BE90, despite a challenging day. After a disrupted morning and a tense test for 52, they added two poles and two stops across country. Atherton said she was still pleased to finish, adding that her mare had been “a Queen all week but sadly, the crown slipped yesterday.”
