The Steam Packet has renewed its role as headline sponsor of the Southern 100 Road Races in a new three‑year agreement that secures its support through to 2028.
The deal continues a partnership stretching back nearly 40 years. The Steam Packet first sponsored the event in 1987 and became Title Sponsor in 1999, providing not only financial backing but also key logistical support, including transporting safety equipment and offering preferential ferry travel for marshals and competitors.
Under the renewed agreement, the company will also fund a new podium and sponsor the pole protectors around the Billown Course.
Steam Packet Holidays will continue to offer dedicated Southern 100 travel packages, with ferry‑only options and a popular day‑trip service also available.
Southern 100 Chairman George Peach said the extended partnership was “invaluable” to the event’s continued success.
Steam Packet Managing Director Brian Thomson described the races as “iconic” and reaffirmed the company’s long‑standing commitment.
The 2026 Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races will take place from July 6 to 9.
