Manx Graduate Dissertation Competition Launches

Entries have opened for this year’s Manx Graduate Dissertation Competition, with the winner to be announced at UCM’s Research Festival in October.

The annual competition invites submissions from UCM graduates and Manx students studying at universities off‑Island, showcasing research skills and innovative ideas developed during their studies.

The overall winner will receive a £200 prize.

Entries can be submitted in three formats, each with its own deadline:

  • Poster: submit by September 26;
  • 20‑minute presentation: register interest by July 31;
  • Video: register interest by September 1, with final videos due October 10.

The winner will be selected by the Research Festival’s Organising Committee and announced at the event on Friday, October 23 at the Villa Marina.

Gail Corrin, UCM’s Higher Education Manager, said the festival continues to grow in reach and reputation. “The Research Festival is such an interesting and diverse event, and now attracts presentations and delegates from the UK and further afield.

“This is a great opportunity for graduates to show off the skills they have learnt as well as the insights from their dissertation.”
