Children under five in Patrick can now register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, following new funding from the Hanover Charitable Trust.
Families who sign up by the end of April should receive their child’s first book in June.
The scheme delivers a free, age‑appropriate book every month to children from birth until their fifth birthday, addressed directly to the child and posted to their home.
Patrick is the latest area to join the island’s expanding Imagination Library network, with more than 500 Manx children already receiving books each month.
Registrations opened last month for IM7 postcodes, Andreas, Ballaugh, Bride, Jurby, Lezayre and Maughold, supported by The Gough Ritchie Charitable Trust and local donors.

The programme operates through a partnership model: Isle of Man Imagination Library funds books and postage locally, while Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Foundation manages central administration and large‑scale publishing partnerships.
A donation of £26 funds a child’s books for a full year.
Registrations are currently open for Andreas, Ballaugh, Bride, Douglas, Jurby, Lezayre, Maughold and Patrick. Parents are encouraged to register at imaginationlibrary.im before the end of April to receive the welcome book in June.
