Alf Cannan has congratulated Lindsay de Sausmarez on her election as President of the Policy and Resources Committee in Guernsey.
The vote makes Ms de Sausmarez Guernsey’s first female Chief Minister.
Mr Cannan said: “Congratulations to Lindsay de Sausmarez on your election as the new President of the Policy and Resources Committee.
“I look forward to working with you on the many shared challenges and opportunities that we face in our respective islands.”
There are some familiar faces in the new top jobs in Guernsey as former chief Gavin St Pier and foreign affairs minister Jonathan Le Tocq have been appointed to senior roles.
