MT Bills to Increase

Manx Telecom has informed customers of an annual inflationary price increase of 3.5%, effective from 1 August 2025.

The company cited “ongoing, mounting global and national inflationary cost pressures” as the reason for the rises, which will affect fixed line rentals, broadband, mobile tariffs, and call charges.

In a notice to customers, the company stated, “It is with regret that we must inform you of a necessary 3.5% inflationary price increase.”

It added, “We have made every effort to keep this increase to a minimum.”

Inflation

The most recent inflation rate for the Isle of Man, as of May 2025, is 2.6%, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

The average inflation rate across 2024 was 2.4%.

Increases

Fixed line rentals with copper broadband will see an additional £4.00 wholesale increase, while call setup charges will rise from 23p to 24p.

The company said: “We are required in our Telecommunications License to publish all tariffs impacted and to provide you a right to terminate, should you choose, for detrimental effect.”

Customers within their minimum contract term may cancel affected services without penalty by October 30 2025.
