Ramsey Town Commissioners is asking Ramsey residents to clean up after their dogs following numerous reports of dog fouling.
Workers for the town had to deep clean Brookhill Road and Beaumont Road after dog owners had let their dogs foul down there, and not cleaned it up.
The Commissioners said: “We really do need to have a conversation about this. Are you one of those people, or do you know someone who is?
“When the Works Team is working really hard to get the standard up to one that the public deserve, it is disappointing when some members of the public bring that standard back down.”
Clean Up
Commissioners are asking members of the public to “keep things clean and tidy, and report dog fouling wherever you see it”.
You can either call the Technical Department on 810100 (option 3) or message the commissioners directly at enquiries@rtc.gov.im.
Any information provided to the Commission is treated in the strictest confidence.
You can be given a fixed penalty fine of £50 or taken to Court and fined up to £1,000 if you don’t clean up after your dog.
