Arbory and Rushen Commissioners has described the decision to scrap the Cregneash bus route for financial reasons as ‘madness’.
Commissioner Jane Glover says it’s a ‘vital’ link for residents and also to a key heritage site which shouldn’t be ‘cut off’.
The local authority has concerns there are ‘unexplored’ options which could mean its survival saying removing it goes against the government’s Local Economy Strategy.
Mrs Glover says the board hasn’t been approached by the government about the situation.
