A dog died in the west of the island after falling from a cliff at the back of Peel hill.
Peel Coastguards were called to the location on Saturday (December 28) afternoon.
The coastguards were able to locate the dog, but sadly upon reaching it they found it had died.
The dog was recovered back to its family and the coastguards have passed on condolences to the dogs family.
Coastguards would like to remind people that when walking near cliffs to keep their dogs on a lead and not to attempt any sort of rescue themselves.
