Four sailings have been placed at risk of cancellation or disruption due to the current weather forecast.
The Steam Packet has warned that travellers hoping to cross the Irish Sea from this evening until New Years Day could be in for delays.
Winds of up to 55mph are expected during the day tomorrow, with gale force 8 is expected in the Irish Sea on Tuesday morning.
It’ll then decrease to a 6 or 7 early Tuesday evening, before veering northwest later and gradually decreasing 4 later.
Sailings at Risk
This evenings sailing from Douglas to Heysham scheduled for 7:45pm is the first at risk, with the Master of the Ship due to make a decision by 5:30pm.
The following sailings on New Years Eve are also subject to cancellation or disruption:
- (December 31) 2:15am Heysham to Douglas – the Master of the Ship due to make a decision by 5:30pm this evening.
- (December 31) 8:45am Douglas to Heysham – the Master of the Ship due to make a decision by 7am tomorrow.
- (December 31) 2:15pm Heysham to Douglas – the Master of the Ship due to make a decision by 7am tomorrow.
