Dog walkers are being urged to take extra care around Laxey Glen and Axnfell plantation after reports of crop scarer shots being discharged in the area.
Local rescue group Noodle’s Canine Rescue (NCR IOM) says the loud bangs are being used to deter birds but have already frightened at least one dog, which went missing overnight before being safely recovered at around 7.30am this morning.
The group is asking walkers to stay alert, keep dogs close, and share the warning to help prevent further incidents.
