The Isle of Man Constabulary are urging the public to help avoid further delays by staying off closed roads and making sensible decisions throughout the day.
They say entering a closed section of the TT Course, whether on foot, on a bike or in a vehicle, is illegal, dangerous, and could result in being placed before the next available court.
Police warn that closed road breaches put riders, spectators and marshals at risk and can have wider impacts on the running of racing, especially on a day when the schedule is already tight.
Racing faced a setback today after a motorbike came off at Brandywell, causing a delay while teams worked to make the Mountain Road safe to hand back to the Clerk of the Course.
Police say the rider’s injuries are not believed to be serious, but the incident is a reminder of how quickly the schedule can be disrupted.
Officers have again urged the public to respect TT marshals, describing them as essential to keeping the event safe. Listening to their instructions, they say, helps protect competitors, spectators and the wider event.
