Douglas and Vagabonds both lost tight games on Saturday to end their 2025 on a slight sour note.
The former was beaten 19-21 by Sandbach while Vagas lost 14-26 to Clitheroe.
Defeat leaves Douglas fourth in Regional 2 North West, but with a game in hand on the sides above them.
Vagabonds are 13th in Counties 3 adm Lancashire & Cheshire, sitting just above Ramsey, who also lost on Saturday.
