Defending champions Peel routed title challengers Corinthians at Ballfletcher to cut the lead at the top.
Corinthians still have a four point lead over the westerners, but Peel have two games in hand.
Tom Brown and Matty Woods scored in the first eight minutes to give Peel a 0-2 lead at the break before Lee Gale scored early in the second half to leave Peel in control.
Brown grabbed his second after 77 minutes while Jason Chalmer added the icing in extra time to make it 0-5 to Peel.
Behind them, Laxey missed a chance to close the gap with Corinthians was they drew 2-2 away at Ayre while Onchan went down 2-0 at Ramsey.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Rushen beat Old Boys 1-0 and St Marys won the battle of the Saints, beating St Johns 2-1.
However, the game of the day came at Union Mills where they ran out 5-4 winners over Foxdale thanks to a later winner from Tyler Hughes, who scored four.

Union Mills scored twice in the first 15 minutes courtesy of two clinical finishes from Tyler Hughes, aided by some rusty defending from a Foxdale side who looked every bit like a team that hadn’t clocked up many minutes recently.
Mills nearly added a third, appearing like they might run away with it, before Foxdale finally woke up and started to exert some pressure of their own.
Youngster Will Taylor pulled one back for the Dale by rising highest and strongest for a headed finish following a ball whipped in from the right.
Taylor almost added a second shortly after by cutting in from the left with his right foot, but just failed to find the top corner despite the swirling wind.
Mills added their third against the run of play with Hughes finding the net to complete his first half hat trick, before Jay Chatwood scored Foxdale’s second with a clever glancing header to wrong foot the keeper. 3-2 to Mills at half time.
The second half started with Foxdale on top with their front three continuing to look dangerous but now the defence was also looking solid. Ricky Newsham calmly scored a spot kick for the leveller and a piercing through ball setup debutant Kondwani Silwamba for Foxdale to take a deserved 3-4 lead.
Dale could’ve added a few more to kill the game, but spurned a couple of half chances. However, all the points ended up with Union Mills who found an equaliser via Dom McHarrie-Brennan before that man Hughes struck again in the dwindling daylight of the dying minutes with a slotted finish avoiding the fully outstretched hand of the Foxdale keeper. Final score 5-4 to Union Mills.
