Joney Faragher MHK for Douglas East wants to see the Council of Ministers to take urgent steps to prevent the closure of the Family Library.
The Family Library is set to close on July 31, citing rising costs and declining income including all of its services, the Children’s Library, Mobile Bus, Home Delivery Service and Bibliotherapy.
Ms Faragher will call upon the Council of Ministers to take urgent steps to prevent the closure of the Family Library.
She wants to develop and bring forward for debate and decision by Tynwald no later than the October sitting a sustainable funding proposal to secure its long-term future.
Tynwald will sit on June 17.
