Laxey’s Dean Harrison has won the Superstock race, his first ever win in that class.
The win is Harrison’s first since the 2019 Senior TT, since when he has been on a podium 16 times!
Having trailed Davey Todd at Bungalow on lap one by 2.3 seconds, he had slashed that to 0.2 by the Grandstand and by the time they got to Glen Helen, he was in the lead.
Stretching his lead to over three seconds at Ballaugh. Harrison rode brilliantly to extend that even further by Hairpin to five seconds for the final turn up the Mountain.
With Todd unable to reel him in, he was left in second while Michael Dunlop, who was passed on the road by Todd, was left behind in third.
As he extended that lead to nine seconds at the Bungalow, fans cheered him down from the Mountain.
Coming down the finish straight and into the winners’ enclosure Harrison was visibly emotional as the crowd, his wife, team and fans cheered him in.
That final lap was his quickest ever around the course at 135.6mph.
Todd finished second with Dunlop in third.
