The Manx Heart Foundation has received a £2,500 donation made in memory of fell runner Phil Motley, who passed away last year.
Manx Fell Runners contributed £2,000 raised during the St John’s Fell Race on New Year’s Day, an event held in Phil’s honour.
A further £500 was donated by Lloyds Bank Isle of Man after a staff member, inspired by helping at the race, nominated the charity for support.
The Foundation thanked the Motley family for proposing the donation, as well as everyone involved in organising and taking part in the event.
In a statement, the charity said it was “incredibly grateful” for the support, noting that all funds received help the Manx Heart Foundation continue its work for heart patients across the island.
