Six Manx athletes took on wild, windy conditions at the senior Inter‑Counties Fell Running Championships in Sedbergh last weekend.
The men’s team, Orran Smith, Matthew van Hooven‑Christian, Dan Richmond, Harry Kneen and Philip Knox, tackled the 15km course, which packed in around 1,000 metres of climbing, finishing 13th in the team standings.
Nikki Arthur represented the island in the women’s race, completing a strong individual run on what was described as a tough day on the fells.
