Planning a last minute escape to Gatwick? You’re out of luck as the easyJet flights have sold out to London until Friday.
With the airport being closed today (January 5) due to the ice and snow, travellers have bought every available ticket on every available flight over the next three days.
Don’t panic just yet, you can still get to London, but you won’t be doing it for less than £264.89 and that is one way for one person.
Bring Back Gatwick
The cheapest flight to London over the next three days is £264.89 again one way, with Loganair.
When Friday rolls around you can then get to London with Loganair for a whole £40 cheaper at £225.
However, if you fancy getting your backside to Gatwick you should finally be able to do so with easyJet with fares starting from £46.99.
Elsewhere
Like many other travellers you may now be looking at alternative routes to help you escape the rock during the big snow of ’26.
easyJet have saved the day with flights available to Liverpool tomorrow for £108.99, whilst with Loganair you’ll be paying a minimum of £133.10.
You won’t be able to get to Liverpool on Wednesday (January 7) morning as that has sold out with Loganair, and easyJet doesn’t fly there on a Wednesday.
Nor will you be able to get back to the island from Liverpool on Thursday (January 8) evening with Loganair, as that too has sold out – the morning one still has some seats left.
Good News, Kinda
We do bring some good news, you can still get off the rock to Liverpool and Manchester, but it’ll cost you a minimum of £108.99, and yes, that is one way.
Flights are looking to return to normal by Thursday with fares returning to under £100.
However, if you’re looking for a reliable service that shouldn’t be affected by snow, ice, or ATC issues, you can just get the good ol’ boat for £43 return – thats more like it.
