The Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lormier and Lady Lormier haven taken part in a mosaic workshop with Isle Be Creative.
His Excellency and Lady Lorimer met Debra Tracey, who runs Isle Be Creative, at the unveiling of the RNLI 200th anniversary mosaic in Port St Mary last year.
Debra gave them the opportunity to explore this historic art-form at Grenaby Studios.

Starting with a plain board, they cut coloured glass tiles and fixed them with adhesive.
Joined by their Social Secretary, Rowan, and their chauffeur, Veselin, they created a poppy, a puffin, a seal and the shape of the Isle of Man.
Government House said: “Thank you so much to Debra for the workshop. It was fascinating to learn how much painstaking work goes into the process and has given us a whole new appreciation for mosaic. We are looking forward to seeing the finished results after they have been grouted.”
