Govt Wants to Know ‘overall mood’ of Local Business

The third Isle of Man Business Environment and Conditions Survey 2025 has launched to gauge the overall mood of businesses across the island.

The survey is conducted twice a year and was last held in the first half of 2025.

Feedback from local employers on current business activity, optimism, planning, staffing and investments provides essential information for economic monitoring, short-term forecasting and economic research.

Ease of Business

Broader topics covered in the questionnaire include workplace skills, regulation, and the ease of doing business on the Isle of Man.

Participation is by invitation only and letters will be sent to a random selection of 3,000 businesses.

Completing the questionnaire is voluntary and should take no longer than 30 minutes to answer all the questions.

The survey closes at midnight on Friday, December 12. There are three ways to access the questionnaire:

  • Complete it online – the web address is included in the letter
  • Please call 685742 or email statistics@gov.im to request a paper copy of the questionnaire or to arrange face to face help with a team member from Statistics Isle of Man.
