Billy Harris is through to the quarter finals in China after winning through the first two rounds without dropping a set.
Fresh from winning his first ATP Challenger trophy at Cassis, Harris is in action at the Guangzhou Huangpu International.
In the first round Harris beat Kazakstan’s Denis Yevseyev after the latter retired with the former Albany and Castletown player a set up and 4-0 in the second.
Round two saw Frenchman Arthur Gea beaten in straight sets 7-5, 7-6.
Next up for Harris, now ranked 136 in the world, is Gauthier Onclin from Belgium.
Depending on results, Harris could play fellow Brit Dan Evans in the semis.
