Harry Kneen and Nikki Arthur came out on top on Saturday at the 9.5km fell race on Snaefell & The Tholtans.
Harry is in great form, and he followed his win at Ardwhallan with another one here, but he had to work hard to hold off a strong challenge from Mark Burman to win by 40 seconds.
The split timing indicated that Mark completed the fastest ascent to the summit of Snaefell from Checkpoint 3 at Ballaskella Tholtan near Tholt y Will.
In third place was Phil Knox with an excellent run ahead of Orran Smith, Harry Weatherill and Lloyd Taggart.
Winning Nikki
Nikki Arthur was the winner of the women’s race in her first race outing since her epic performance in the Spine Race last month.
She has clearly recovered well as she got the better of a very close race with Alice Forster to win by 14 seconds.
Nikki was 15 seconds faster than Alice on the climb from Ballaskella Tholtan to the summit of Snaefell.
Nikki and Alice finished 11th and 12th overall out of 133 finishers.
Jackie Lee was third, and she was followed by Katherine Cubbon, Victoria Jacobsen and Janette Gledhill.
