His Excellency and Lady Lorimer have been given a rare insight into the architectural history of Government House during a visit to the Isle of Man Public Record Office.
Among the documents viewed were finely detailed, hand-drawn and watercoloured plans dating from 1903, commissioned during the tenure of Lord Raglan.
The drawings reveal the craftsmanship behind the evolution of Government House more than a century ago.
The couple thanked the Record Office team for preserving the Island’s documentary heritage and ensuring it remains accessible for future generations.
The visit was described as a vivid reminder of Government House’s long-standing role in Manx life.
