Joshua Holden has been selected to represent Great Britain at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Germany.
The competition will see Joshua compete in both the Junior Men’s 10m Air Pistol Individual and the Junior Men’s 10m Air Pistol Team events between from May 19 and May 27.
British Shooting confirmed Joshua’s selection as part of a strong GBR squad set to compete across multiple disciplines, including Olympic Skeet, Olympic Trap, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, 25m Pistol, and Rapid Fire Pistol.
He will be joined in the Junior Men’s 10m Air Pistol category by teammates Sam Allen and Hamish McDonald.
Medalist
The talented marksman, who previously secured an Island Games medal for the Isle of Man when he was just 14 years old, holds the Isle of Man record for the ’10m Air Pistol Final’ and continues to make a name for himself on the national stage.
It will be an honour to wear the GB jersey and I am excited to have the opportunity to test myself against some of the best in the world.”
His recent successes include a bronze medal in the Junior Men’s category at the British Open Airgun Championships and an impressive 7th-place finish in the Open Men’s competition at the Scottish Air Pistol Championships.
Joshua’s determination and commitment on and off the range is exemplified by his balancing a rigorous training schedule around an intensive medical degree at Lancaster University.
