A upgrade of Noble’s Hospital’s main switchgear has been completed by engineers.
The upgrade involved replacing the three main circuit breakers in distribution points two, three and four, which serve key clinical areas such as intensive care, theatres, and radiology.
The project was executed over the past week in three phases, with shutdowns scheduled from 9pm to 1am to ensure minimal disruption to hospital services.
The DoI said: “The new equipment enhances system safety with Bluetooth technology and extends the lifespan of the main distribution system by 25 years.”
