How Much Did The Manx Menu Cost?

The Enterprise Minister is facing calls to spell out how this year’s Manx Menu Awards were funded, after a series of detailed questions have been tabled.

Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan has asked the minister to disclose key information about the 2026 awards programme.

In a written question for answer on March 30, Ms Lord‑Brennan is seeking clarity on six specific areas:

  • How many entrants and winners took part in the 2026 awards;
  • What categories were used;
  • How public voting and departmental promotion differed from earlier years;
  • The total cost to the Department or Business Agency;
  • How many staff were involved in delivering the awards;
  • Which company provided the marketing packages awarded as prizes.

The Manx Menu Awards, run by the Department for Enterprise’s Business Agency, are designed to showcase the island’s hospitality sector.
