Ingham Arrives in France Ahead of Olympics

Yasmin Ingham and Banzai Du Loir have arrived in France ahead of the Paris Olympic Games.

Banzai has settled in at the Team GB holding stables before the team move onto the main venue in Versailles in a few days time.

On social media, 27-year-old Yasmin said: “It’s such an honour to be part of the British Team along with Laura, Ros and Tom.

“We both 100% ready to go should we be needed and I cannot wait to enjoy and learn so much from this experience”.

Olympic Games

Yasmin Ingham has been named as the ‘alternate combination‘ for the British eventing team at the Paris Olympics.

Last month, the Manx rider and Banzai Du Loir were confirmed as one of four combinations selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 Games.

The initial team announcement released the four British riders and horses without specifying which three pairs made up the team and which will act as the alternate.

The Olympic eventing format brought in for the Tokyo Olympics allows for the alternate to be swapped in if necessary before any of the three tests, under certain circumstances, at a cost of 20 penalties to the team score.

The Olympic eventing schedule is below:
