Manx Equestrian Yasmin Ingham is stateside this weekend to contest the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event.
Ingham and her reigning World Champion winning mount, 13 year old Banzai Du Loir, are in Lexington for their third start at one of the worlds best events.
However, they had an unnerving start to their campaign when they were sent to the holding box at the first trot up on Wednesday afternoon.
He was a little bit lazy—a little too slow and laid back. He just didn’t move as expressively as he always does.

Banzai was passed up on re-inspection, with Ingham saying afterwards “He was a little bit lazy—a little too slow and laid back. He just didn’t move as expressively as he always does.”
World Class
Although a smaller field than in previous years, the quality is still very high with a number of the worlds top eventers taking part, including World Number one, British rider Oliver Townend.
Dressage begins today (Thursday) with Ingham 11th down the centre line at 15:04 EST / 20:04 BST.
Cross Country is scheduled to start at 13:30 on Saturday with a second trot up and reverse order show jumping on Sunday afternoon.
