Local Business Named Finalist in National Entrepreneur Awards

A husband-and-wife team behind two popular Tynwald Mills businesses have been shortlisted in a prestigious UK awards programme.

Claire and Scott Pearse, founders of Element Isle and Sacred Clan, have been named North West finalists in the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2026 Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The recognition comes as Element Isle celebrates its tenth anniversary. What began as Claire Pearse’s jewellery business has grown into a family-run design, manufacturing and retail operation, with both Element Isle and Sacred Clan now based in adjoining stores at Tynwald Mills.

The couple said the nomination was particularly meaningful as their son has also joined the business.

Element Isle is known for jewellery inspired by the Isle of Man’s landscape and heritage, including the Platinum Jubilee brooch presented to the late Queen Elizabeth II and silver falcons featured in the Island’s coronation gift to King Charles III.

Winners of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, which attract more than 5,000 entries each year, will be announced at a gala ceremony in London on November 16.
